Brendan Plummer Verified Owner Sunday, Jun 22 2025 (3 months ago) Arrma 4S BLX Slipper Plate & Hub Set These are the weakest link of Arrma’s BLX platform. On my granite blx in its lifetime I have worn out over 6 of these. They use aluminum but they should have used steel or a better alloy, over time due to RPM the aluminum expands outwards and eventually explodes/ fails, always at the rear wheel connection. Additionally if you have your slipper very tight for doing wheelies and stuff some genius decided that part of the front hub is actually two pieces glued instead of a single piece and it comes apart. Now that Arrma has released a new 3S chassis I believe you can buy the center differential those are running and a new plastic chassis and keep using all the other parts from your old BLX, this should eliminate this weakest link part of the BLX platform. The only upside of this part’s fragility is that it always breaks first protecting your differentials and gears! The only other good thing I have to say is that the official Arrma one, though weak, is better than any of the knockoffs made of even worse mystery alloys. View all reviews
