Description

The Dusty Motors Slash 4X4 HCG Protection Cover is a high quality, hand made, dust and water splash proof shroud, designed specifically for the standard chassis Slash 4×4. The shroud features a zipper access opening, helping to simplify connecting/disconnecting batteries and accessing the power switch, eliminating the need to remove the shroud every time you need access. The shroud is made from high quality, breathable material that is strong, durable and efficient. The open area of the material is more than 50% of total shroud surface, so it allows excellent airflow to keep the model electronics cool, while preventing debris, moisture and other contaminants from getting in the chassis.

Plus, each shroud includes a 19″ length of Shock absorber cover that you cut to length, as needed for the shocks on your model! The cover is made from elastic material that will stretch over shocks of different diameters. One included length of a cover will be enough for approximately 4-8 shocks, depending on the length of the shocks your model is equipped with.

NOTE: During extended running sessions, it is recommended that during breaks the shroud is unzipped to allow the ESC and motor to cool quicker.

Daniel Pawelek Verified Owner Thursday, Apr 30 2020 (about 5 years ago) Dusty Motors HCG Chassis Protection Cover for Traxxas Slash 4X4 (Blue) I had heard about this company from YouTube and decided i needed to get my hands on one for my Traxxas Slash 4×4 VXL. its definitely worth your money if you run your vehicle in places that have lots of leaves, rocks and things of that nature. The fine mesh is great for keeping the dirt out but is not very breathable, and i was experiencing overheating issues; but i was running it in 90 and up weather. I have ordered some interior fans for my motor and ESC and hope that will help fix the problem. The install was very simple with minimal tugging to get it to the correct positioning, overall great product would recommend and most likely will purchase for my other vehicles. View all reviews
