Description
Servo Overview:
The EcoPower WP120T Coreless Waterproof “High Torque” Metal Gear Digital Servo is a great choice if you are looking for an affordable, waterproof, high voltage upgrade. The WP120T makes 337 oz-in of torque and .11 transit speed at 6.0V. But when you crank the voltage up to 7.4V, the WP120T delivers 400 oz-in and .09 speed, making it an excellent option for scale crawlers, 1/10 monster trucks, 1/10 2WD and 4WD buggies. Plus, its a great option for boats, and other surface applications that can benefit from a high torque, high voltage, waterproof servo.
The WP120T is waterproof up to 1-meter so driving in the rain, puddles, snow and mud are not an issue. Metal gears were used to create a durable gear train that can be serviced if needed, and the plastic case with aluminum center section keeps the servo running cool while remaining lightweight. Plus, the digital circuitry allows compatibility with vehicles that use traction control/gyro systems, making the WP120T a viable option for models that are equipped with a stability system. Want more? We back this servo up with a 1 year warranty – so drive with confidence knowing that EcoPower has your back, with a tough, powerful servo upgrade that wont break the bank – and wont slow you down when mother nature tries to change your plans.

Scott Cawthon Sunday, Jun 10 2018 (about 7 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo I installed this into my 1.9 rig, took it through some vigorous terrain, alot of rock climbing and mud and this servo performed flawlessly, i ran it on the 7.4v setting so it had plenty of torque to get me through the run. I am very happy with it, I highly recommend it. 13 customers found this review helpful. Tanka Tuned Tuesday, May 22 2018 (about 7 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo Man oh man, this servo hits all the right buttons. With transit speeds tuned at 6.0v or 7.4v its noticeable & quick! The coreless motor has great torque and the servo has a maximum dynamic torque of 400oz. Even with running the servo in warm environments it still keeps a decent temp and doesn’t seem to get hot (important to this guy). Last but not least the price, at $69.99 you really do get a great servo for your dollar. Guess what… and its waterproof!

John Ashworth Verified Owner Monday, Oct 14 2019 (about 5 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo This servo did not make it through it’s first outing, 20 minutes of light use and it stripped. The gear that stripped was the biggest aluminum gear not the plastic one.
I am going to replace the gears for 12 dollars because I don’t have the cash right now to buy a better option. save your self the hassle and get a better servo. this was a big let down for me. It was a very smooth servo for the short time it was working.
After the rebuild my luck was not any better, I had the same problem it just lasted a little bit longer than the original. My end points are set correct and after going with a cheaper servo I have had no issues at all (Though the ECO was smoother and quieter)
I love Amain but not so much the servo experience. I don’t like giving bad reviews I am just giving my honest opinion. 7 of 8 customers found this review helpful. Andrew Frewer Tuesday, Apr 9 2019 (about 6 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo OK, I understand rebranding, but this is a JX CLS5830HV at over twice the price. Great servo, but not worth $70. 7 of 9 customers found this review helpful. Matt Hofster Verified Owner Wednesday, Jun 13 2018 (about 7 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo Found my new crawler servo! This thing is a beast. I have it in my Venture and it’s been awesome. Can’t beat the price! 4 of 5 customers found this review helpful. Adam Miracle Verified Owner Monday, Nov 7 2022 (about 2 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo Put in my trx4. Never felt like it had a solid center from the beginning. Only ran it once and now it doesn’t feel like there’s a consistent center. At all . I was a eco power fan boy so I had high hopes but definitely wouldn’t recommend. 2 customers found this review helpful. Ricky Snow Thursday, Feb 13 2020 (about 5 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo Ive heard people comparing this to JX CLS5830HV, but when running them side by side the Eco sounds like a well oiled machine in comparison & the power & speed is undeniable…… 2 customers found this review helpful. Marco Verro Friday, Apr 26 2019 (about 6 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo I had my doubts but I must say so far the thing is lightning fast and it swings my mp9 tki4 wheels like nothing I like this more than my 100 plus servo!!! I bought this servo cause of all the great reviews on here now the only other test is how long will it last!!! And and can’t beat 13$ replacement gear 2 customers found this review helpful. Jerry from Ridgecrest, CA Verified Owner Monday, Dec 24 2018 (about 6 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo I installed this as a replacement for the Tactic TSX45 steering servo in my Axial RR10. It works well with the RTR electronics, has a one year warranty and a rebuild gear set is $13. Performance wise it handles the 2.2 wheels and tires pretty well. It steers pretty quickly, and the torque is pretty good. I think it’s a great replacement for the RTR servo. I primarily use my RR10 to hit local trails in Southern California which is about 90% rocks and sand. 2 customers found this review helpful. Justin Gates Verified Owner Thursday, Mar 28 2024 (about a year ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo Ordered two of these eco power steering servos for my summit build. Certainly wasn’t expecting the speed and torque that these produced. Great servo for a decent price! 1 customer found this review helpful. michael nimmo Verified Owner Monday, Mar 13 2023 (about 2 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo No good run on 7.4 maybe total 2 hrs and already went bad and this was the second one. I gave the benifit of doubt and same thing with both started whinning then no steering at all really disappointed 1 customer found this review helpful. Gerald Andersen Verified Owner Monday, Mar 6 2023 (about 2 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo Bought this on 2/10, it was a recommended servo in an Amainhobbies article entitled “5 Best Upgrades for the Traxxas Maxx”
Got two weeks out of this on brand new Traxxas Widemaxx that is driven mostly on grass and fine gravel and no bashing. Started out ok, better than stock but started getting slower and today the gears must have stripped in addition to a plastic tab for mounting snapped off. Put out a little more money, this one is not recommended by me. 1 customer found this review helpful. Michael Hoyle Verified Owner Thursday, Sep 23 2021 (about 4 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo I have 3 of these now in three different crawlers and they all perform great. I don’t bash my trucks, just scale trailing and crawling. Good servo for the price and will buy more in the future when needed. 1 customer found this review helpful. Sanderson Verified Owner Sunday, Aug 11 2019 (about 6 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo First time out with my TRX4 as 3 minutes of mild crawling around, the servo stripped out. I know A main is good but shipping etc if covered by warranty is just exhausting. $70 down the drain and I will find a different servo. 1 customer found this review helpful. Brian Bell Verified Owner Sunday, Jun 30 2019 (about 6 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo They, or someone, need to have an upgraded metal gear to replace that center plastic gear. Made it about 5 packs in an 1/8 truggy and was stripped. Otherwise, its a fast and powerful servo 1 customer found this review helpful. Tom sellick Sunday, Sep 14 2025 (2 weeks ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo This servo is not worth 75 dollars. It’s got okay speed and torque, not enough to justify the price tag. It doesnt center itself and gets stuck on nothing at points. Get a protek 100t or 140t and have an actually high quality servo. Corey Cheney Verified Owner Thursday, Jun 5 2025 (4 months ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo I have been using these for years, never an issue, I use these 120T for steering my gas hydros, recently after blowing my boat off it was hit from behind which drove the pushrod forward stripped the servo horn but no damage to the servo, talk about tough, I have these eco power servos mostly in all my fleet of race boat Dylan White Verified Owner Friday, Sep 25 2020 (about 5 years ago) EcoPower WP120T Waterproof High Torque Metal Gear Servo Edit: as of about about mid 2023, she’s borked. Served me well in my erevo, but after 3 years the transit speed is super unbalanced. Really disappointed I bought new gears for it just to find out it was broken. I did notice that she runs quite hot even on 6v. Hobbystar just can’t be beaten at this price point. View all reviews
