The Exotek MIP Metric Hex ID Collar Set was developed to add a factory pro touch to some of the best tools in the industry! These identification collars complete your MIP hex wrenches with easy to see color coded polished and anodized aluminum collars. The collars are also laser etched with matching metric size labels for the most popular sized 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm hex wrenches. Package includes four aluminum collars with set screws.

NOTE:These are not compatible with some older MIP wrenches.

The shoulder on the older thorp wrenches are 7mm and the newer mip style the shoulder is 6.75mm. Time to replace my 15yr old tools. 4 customers found this review helpful. Fox Verified Owner Saturday, Feb 16 2019 (about 6 years ago) Exotek MIP Metric Hex ID Collar Set I’ve had my MIP set for years and it was nice to finally cut off the stickers and shrink wrap and replace them with these. that add a really great clean look to the tool. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has MIP tools!! My only complaint is that the set screws use a 1.5 driver so you need a separate driver to put the collar on the 1.5. 2 customers found this review helpful. Andrew Brown Verified Owner Thursday, Dec 23 2021 (about 3 years ago) Exotek MIP Metric Hex ID Collar Set My MIP driver set didn’t come with the shrink wrap, so I taped the measurements onto them. It lasted a year and finally one of my tapes came off and a bare tool was left. I was looking up replacement size indicators and came across these. At first I didn’t think it was necessary, but after realizing I can just add a little threadlock to the set screws and I won’t have to worry about replacing them for some time. Lamar Martin Verified Owner Saturday, Nov 2 2019 (about 5 years ago) Exotek MIP Metric Hex ID Collar Set My MIP metric were my first R/C tools I purchased back in 1998. If you own a set of MIP socket drivers then you know they some of the best on the market. However over time the embedded paint in the engraved labels on the lucite handles wears away. This is when the Exotek metric collars come into play. These collars are permanent solution so that you can identify the driver sizes at a glance that you need. The colors will assist in the identification and the sizes marked in white are easy to see. These anodized aluminum collars manufactured to precise fit and with that said the only thing that you may have to do is remove some material from the MIP tool handle where the collar slides onto. I place the tip of my tools into my cordless drill and wrapped a piece of emery cloth around the metal portion of the handle and using the drill to rotate the tool in the emery cloth until the desired diameter was achieved. Almost $20 for 4 collars. Nothing on A Main, I’m sure Exotek asks a lot for these. They do look and fit well and help me find the tool I need. These will last the life of the drivers. Reviewer is correct they do not fit snug, but this does not effect their function or driver use at all. So as to when you tighten set screw the shaft looks off center. Inside diameter should be smaller. Anonymous Monday, May 17 2021 (about 4 years ago) Exotek MIP Metric Hex ID Collar Set You have to keep the original shrink wrap label underneath to fit correctly. If you do not want to use the mip shrink wrap logo then it will be oversized and not fit correctly. They must be designed with the old fatter shaft.
