Anthony Woodruff Verified Owner Saturday, Oct 30 2021 (about 3 years ago) RC4WD Fuel Zephyr 1.9″ Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4) I found myself having a similar situation as other reviewers with screws being stripped on the hubcaps. However I discovered that 3 screws on each hubcap in a triangle pattern are threaded on the hubcap the other 3 threaded in the wheel itself. After figuring this out installation was good. These are nice wheels and I wish a better solution for the lug nuts was provided but it did work.
-1 star Lug nut tool is frustrating and having only 3 lugs actually fasten the hubcap is a strange design choice.
Edit: After having these wheels for some time I am very disappointed, I have only had to take them off a couple times and the “lug nuts” that hold the hub caps on are the softest metal I have every seen, the tool for removing them is also laughable. I would not recommend these wheels unless you are putting them on a shelf queen and never plan on taking them off. At this price they should be bulletproof. 5 customers found this review helpful. Each wheel had at least one or more stripped screw head(s) on the protective wheel nut cap that displays the Fuel logo. Seriously RC4WD? Where is the quality control??? I am now just getting to the install point and unfortunately, one of the wheels has six out of six screw heads stripped and I cannot use the wheel at all. Furthermore, I cannot use the display caps either based on the little screws continuing to strip. At this point, making communication to get replacement parts or a replacement wheel is my next course of action. AMAIN HOBBIES, your service is excellent! This hiccup in no way reflects on the quality of your service, parts, or other, it simply puts me behind on my newest project and makes me hope that we can resolve this quickly. The product itself loks incredible! The construction and design are beautiful. Based on the price, OUCH, OUCH, OUCH, RC4WD! The package was open and the tool was just floating around in the box. I nearly lost it just opening the box. I couldn’t even take the covers off to mount the wheels once. In my opinion, the wheels are the most aesthetically pleasing 1.9 beadlocks I could locate for my TRX-4 Bronco. Upon installing them, I observed, as other reviewers have noted, that the wheels were stripped. Interestingly, three out of the six holes are functional, allowing the wheels to be mounted, but not in the intended manner. I hope to obtain a replacement, but I am concerned that this may be an ongoing quality control issue, resulting in a nonfunctional set again. After posting a review about the issue, and in no time I got a call from “Jake”, and politely helped me resolved the issue. He took the time and contacted rc4wd regarding the tool and they responded right away and send me the tools I needed directly to my front door. Now got this installed to my SCX10 II and they looks awesome, wheels are pretty scale and lovin it. So glad I made that purchase, these wheels really met my expectation.
