Are you familiar with the story of Bob from the Tekken universe? Robert “Bob” Richards was considered a martial arts master from a young age. He gained many admirers thanks to his sculpted physique and attractive appearance. However, he was unable to defeat opponents who surpassed him in size. He disappeared from the martial arts arena to undergo a special training program that increased his strength and size while maintaining his agility.
That’s exactly what we tried to achieve with our creation – lightness and agility in an impressive size. Hence the name CHONK – a term often used to describe abnormally large animals (most often round, chubby cats).
The colorways were also inspired by images close to me:
Pink Chonk – inspired by my favorite childhood cat, the Pink Panther (eat your heart out, Garfield and Tom!).
Chonk Machine – an homage to the legendary car interior from the Cheech and Chong movies: Love Machine.
Chonk Kuma – a nod to the dark aesthetic of Kuma from the Afro Samurai universe.
Each yo-yo comes with a matching knuckle string cutter.
