Carpet tires, especially narrow fronts, are harder to glue then standard front tires. These wheels work great! I have glued probably 2 dozen sets so far and never had a problem. 3 customers found this review helpful. I didn’t buy them, but they come with the 22 5.0 AC.
I have plenty of experience gluing tires: 1/10, 1/8, 1/12 foam. Although gluing tires isn’t my favorite thing, I can usually take my time and do a decent job.
I knew just looking at them they would probably be a problem., but they were the only rims I had so I had no choice but to give it a shot.
Pretty much wasted a set of JConcepts Swaggers.
Most rims have an inner and outer profile for the bead to pop into or sit in. These don’t, and especially with 2WD front tires (no foam inserts) to push the tire to the outer and inside edge… all I can say is, if your like me and don’t have a choice, use medium or slower CA so that you can try to adjust and straighten them.
