Dan Sunday, Mar 9 2025 (7 months ago) Traxxas Captured Shock Spring Retainers (Black) (4) As the other reviewer discovered, these are for the larger, 13mm bore GTR line of shocks (rear #TRA7462 and front #TRA7461).
Older and non-Ultimate current models that come with the plastic bodied “Ultra” line of shocks (rear #TRA3762 and front #TRA3760) will need to purchase #TRA3768 for replacement spring retainers, and either #TRA3767 for the stock caps or #TRA8361 for the newer, pillow-ball style caps.
As for this part, specifically, they work and fit perfect if you have the 13mm GTR shocks on your vehicle. The diameter is to large for the stock shock/springs. They are listed to be compatible with Slash 4×4 and are also listed as replacement parts on Traxxas website for the Slash 4×4. I think maybe they only fit the GTR shocks? Otherwise they seem like a great idea having the retainer bolt to the shock/rod end I’ve already lost 2 spring retainers on the Slash in only 1 week.
