Description

The BowHouse RC TRX-4 Molded Low CG Battery Tray is an injection molded option that allows you to take advantage of lower battery placement by holding the battery lower in the frame for the ultimate in low CG performance. The tray was designed using 3D imaging technology to take full advantage of nearly every available cubic millimeter to lower the battery tray floor, lowering the center of gravity and making more room for more battery options!

The tray is molded from a durable nylon compound and features a matte finish with polished BowHouse logo in the center that blends in with the stock parts perfectly. Plus, the package now includes the XL rear chassis brace! Previously, this was an accessory that had to be purchased separately – so now you can make room for stick packs up to 158mm long and hang them lower in the frame. If your goal is to maximize the performance of your TRX-4, without impacting the scale look of the truck, this battery tray is a must have upgrade!

NOTE:200mm battery strap is recommended.

Only gave 4 stars because it doesn’t come with a velcro strap. It’s not mentioned in the description but the max width the battery can be is 53mm (thank you to AMain customer service to going to the warehouse to measure). 10 customers found this review helpful. I was able to slide the u shaped bracket forward enough to get an aluminium chassis crossmember back in to give better chassis support, I also added a second aluminium chassis crossmember between the shock mount supports. it actually fit perfect and I used 2 of the unused shock mount positions for mounting. It has stiffened up the whole design. I can run fast with a lot less roll in the turns. and with the lower cg, it also helps the turns get faster. I put this in the TRX-4 Blazer. I did change the esc and motor to the Hobby Wing Xerun Axe brushless system for crawlers,(Axe550-2700KV). 3 customers found this review helpful. For the people saying their batteries don’t fit I’m certainly confused. I’ve run nothing but 3600 and 3800 mah lihv 3s Protek packs, and with the Tekin RX4 and Roc412HD 1900kv motor I easily get an hour of runtime per battery. And I could fit 4 of them in the bow house tray. Add to that and all my Vanquish 1.9 and 2.2 wheels are heavily weighted internally, plus I jumped on the brass bandwagon when Samix came out with all their stuff so I have basically the heaviest TRX4 you could possibly build without just adding random weight. And I still get more than an hour on tiny 3600mah 3s packs that were about $40.00 a piece 4 years ago, and the current version is the same price And they have upped it to 4600mah and 120c from 80c I think. No instructions made for understand it take a bit longer. My kit came with a strap and the extra crossbar for longer batteries. this thing is epic once i figured it out. the extra bar replaces the cross bar below the body posts. On my defender body that cross bar is in the way for 5k+ mah batteries. cheers to Bowhouse for eliminating the stock battery tray and its restrictions. the LCG is nice, very nice. If you use shorty battery no need use the other piece in the kit. Just add a piece of foam at back of shorty battery.Use shorter screws less 2 mm…original 2 chassis screws are too long and no need use so long.Perfect shape and finish. After a little testing, it did a good job at leaving rub marks on my lipo where the gap is. It’s good quality and definitely lowers the CG, but it’s just a little TOO low. Should be about 5mm higher.
