In The Adventures of Tintin, Land of Black Gold, the yellow Supermarine Spitfire is used by the Emir of Khemedi’s as a reconnaissance aircraft dropping leaflets on the insurgent Bab El Ehr’s camp where Tintin is being held. The figure of a bound Tintin is on the base of the model. Body of plane is die cast metal. Other parts are ABS plastic. Fuselage is 12.7cm (5”) long and the model has a wingspan of 15.6cm (6.1”).
